Cutting cookies like these into diamonds is easy to do and fun to serve.
Once completely cooled, use a paring knife to make the first eight guide marks as indicated in the previous grid-cut instructions “How To Cut Cookie Squares”.
Follow by making another twelve cut-marks between these first eight. In total you will have three marks on the 9 inch edges and seven marks along the 13 inch edges.
Using a large knife, make your first series of cuts using the seven pairs of guide marks on the 13 inch sides.
The following cuts are going to be at approximately a 45° angle.
With one of the 13 inch sides closest to you pick one of the bottom corners. Align your large knife with the first guide mark on the 13 inch side with the closest guide mark on the 9 inch side and make a cut.
Repeat this with the next two guide marks. The fourth guide mark on the 13 inch side closet to you will align with the far corner of the original 9 x 13 inch cookie.
Continue with aligning the guide marks on the same 45° angle and making cuts.
